Chat Off (WASD): click the Chat Off button next to the command box (or press it) to switch into movement mode. W/A/S/D moves you directly. Press Enter to pause and type a message, Enter again to send and drop straight back into movement mode.

Chat On (typed): type north/south/east/west (or n/s/e/w) and press Enter, classic MUD style.

Hidden areas exist that WASD can't reach. Some places — like the Wastes — only connect through a named exit, not a compass direction. Type the exit's name to use it, or open the Room tab in the far-right rail — it lists every exit from where you're standing, including hidden ones, as clickable buttons.

Press 1–6 to use your hotbar techniques — that's how you actually deal damage.

Multiple things in the room? Type k <name> (e.g. k blue) to target something specific, instead of just whatever's first in the room.

Want out of a fight? Type flee before you can move again — movement is blocked while something is actively attacking you. If you're stunned or frozen, you can't even flee until it wears off.

Standing in a shop, smith, or enchanter shows clickable Services buttons right above the command box — sell, salvage, upgrade, and enchant without memorizing commands.
